It is summer. We are out of town at an event for my daughter. That does not mean that learning has to end. It just means that learning cannot be very structured. For us, this is a lesson in unschooling. It is alot like and extended field trip.
As hard to believe as it is, this coming weekend the East High Angels Class of 1988, of which I belong, will get together to celebrate our 20th high school reunion. Because our Alaska trip is right around the corner and doing both would really stretch our funds, I won’t be attending however.

One hundred children with milk allergies participated in the study.

Honey Bees
That is right, Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) has spread across the U.S. and Europe lately and is wiping out the honey bees.
We all have to change plans sometimes. There are always going to be unpredictable things that pop up or the unexpected challenges that arise and force us to cancel or back out of plans or an agreement.
If you have a daughter in Young Women’s then she will soon be old enough to date, if she is not already. This can be a scary time for parents. It is important to set up good ground rules for your daughter long before she goes on her first date.
We’ve all been there before: We’re running late for work, school or a doctor’s appointment and we try to make up for lost time by putting the pedal to the metal. Typically, that excuse doesn’t fly when pleading your case to the police officer that just clocked you exceeding the speed limit.
Well, I get a mazal tov. We just had a baby boy on Tuesday, thank G-d! (we Chassidim say Thank G-d not just when getting through danger, but whenever we see a blessing in our lives). He is 6 pounds and beautiful and I am so grateful we got through fine. Every baby is truly a miracle.
